NGTC provides training and consultancy for workplace health and safety requirements in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 2015. We specialise in Temporary Traffic Management Training and Traffic Management Plans.

NGTC 2018 Ltd are a Work & Income Registered Training Service Provider.

We run workshops throughout NZ with scheduled workshops in  Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, RotoruaNapier, Taradale-Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin ONLINE and  Invercargill,

Our prices are not included on our website for two reasons:

  1. We train in so many locations where cost of running workshops differ and any decreases in a particular region's costs are passed on to our Clients - sometimes one price does not fit all

Traffic Control

This is recognised as the introduction to Temporary Traffic Management Qualifications. After the introduction of NZTA new Competency Training model in 2020 will become Level 1 Non-practising Traffic controller Workshop.

There is no prerequisite qualification for this level of training.

This qualification enables the holder, once briefed by the STMS, to:

• set up, maintain, alter and remove level LV and level 1 TTM worksites

• undertake the on-site duties of an STMS for level LV and level 1 TTM.

STMS Level 1

This is the highest qualification for this level of traffic management.

People attending this course must hold a current level 1 TC certificate of achievement for a minimum of one calendar month prior to attending the STMS course.

This qualification enables the holder to:

• draft TMPs

• check and approve TMPs prepared by others

• undertake the duties of an STMS for level LV and level 1 TTM

• undertake TTM audits of worksites for level LV and level 1

TTM.

STMS Level 2/3 Non Practising

This is the highest qualification for this level of traffic management.

People attending this course must hold a current level 1 STMS certificate.

This qualification enables the holder to:

• draft TMPs for level 2 and level 3 roads

• check and approve TMPs prepared by others

• undertake TTM audits of worksites for level 2 and level 3 TTM.

STMS Level 2/3 Practising

This is the highest qualification for this level of traffic management.

People undertaking this assessment must hold a current level 2/3 STMS-NP certificate.

Candidates must be able to provide evidence of the successful establishment and removal of level 2 and 3 worksites, under the guidance of a fully qualified STMS.

There is no course for this qualification. It is awarded once the candidate has successfully completed a practical assessments.

  • undertake inspections on the lane of level 2 roads with permanent speed under 65km/h

TTM Worker

This workshop is entry-level for a worker in the TTM industry.

It is for any worker who will assist with Temporary Traffic Management under the guideance of an STMS - it focuses on putting out signs and cones and assists with stop/go activities.

The following ONLINE Training is available during COVID-10 Lockdown - NZ Transport Agency have stipulated these workshops must be run in 4 x 2 hour blocks over 2 days

L1 TC Refresher - 4 Sessions over 2 days (8.00 to 10.0) (10.30 to 12.30)

STMS L1 refresher - 4 Sessions over 2 days (8.00 to 10.00 (10.30 to 12.30)
