Level 1 Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS)

This workshop promotes safe working practices, standards and operating procedures at roadwork sites. This is the updated NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) Level 1 Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) course. It covers the revised standards and operating procedures required by the NZ Transport Agency Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (COPTTM) 3rd Edition, July 2004.

This workshop includes the major changes to COPTTM since the Interim Edition. The workshop is the advanced training to the Level 1 Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) standard of COPTTM.

Appropriately trained and qualified staff must be available to carry out temporary traffic management duties in compliance with COPTTM on all work sites. The workshop will also assist with understanding how the Health and Safety in Employment Act relates to workers on the road.

Attendees wishing to be placed on the NZTA database and receive a photo identity warrant card must pass the NZTA assessment at the workshop. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to be placed on the NZTA database. There is a fee of $40.00 + GST per person for issue of the ID card.

Note: The assessment is solely in respect of the NZTA qualification.
